CH Royal Microbes Live P.N.S Bacteria
Royal Microbes is a live bacteria designed for aquarium use only. It helps improve water quality, provide nutrition for filter feeding organisms/coral/fish and can act as a probiotic. This bacteria will also help seed a new tank and or help tanks that have old tank syndrome but diversifying the current bacteria and adding new life to the microbiome.
One 16 oz bottle treats ~400 gallons
Dosage:
- Broadcast - 1.25 ml per gallon daily (or however often you desire but daily is recommended)
- Gut Loading - 1.25 ml per 1L (o.5 ml per 250 ml) of water to soak frozen fish/coral food for 5 mins before feeding
**You can increase dosage without negative issues**
This live bacteria is shelf stable and has a shelf life of 8 months. Store anywhere and allow the bottle to have indirect light (this can be just from the normal ceiling light). DO NOT STORE IN THE FRIDGE.

1. Nutrient Cycling (Especially Nitrogen and Phosphorus)
- PNSB can consume ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, helping reduce these potentially toxic compounds.
- They also play a role in phosphorus removal, which helps prevent nuisance algae outbreaks.
2. Organic Waste Decomposition
- PNSB can break down dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and other waste compounds, improving water clarity and reducing detritus buildup.
3. Biofilm Formation and Competitive Exclusion
- PNSB can form stable biofilms that outcompete harmful bacteria and cyanobacteria.
- This can help prevent disease and minimize harmful microbial blooms.
4. Probiotic Effects
- Some aquarists and researchers suggest PNSB may help boost coral and fish immunity by outcompeting pathogens and producing beneficial enzymes or compounds.
- They may also produce vitamins (like B12) that are beneficial to corals and other filter feeders.
